Patrick Cannon: Mayor Pro Tem of Charlotte
Cannon, a native Charlottean, was first elected in 1993 at age 26, becoming the youngest person elected to city office. In 2001, he was elected as an At-Large member to the City Council as Mayor Pro Tem. As the longest member to serve, he is in his eighth term. Cannon graduated from A & T State University and Chapel Hill. A local business owner, Cannon also works as a talk show host on 105.3 FM that focuses on regional community affairs.
