Central Piedmont Community College(CPCC) has been consistently ranked one of the nations top learning institutes and has been visited by Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama for its devotion to workforce education. CPCC offers associates degrees in many academic programs such as Accounting and General Education.

The College and Career Readiness program helps around 14,000 adults launch their academic and professional careers and is recognized as a leader of workforce development. Candidates can register for the GED or Adult High School Program after taking an assesment exam. Students earning a GED or diploma may also join the Pathways to Careers program to receive occupational training.
