Chantilly is a neighborhood that is located between Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood. It was originally developed between the 1940s and 1950s. Chantilly’s nickname is “Little Elizabeth” because of the similarities that it shares with the Elizabeth neighborhood, which include: the historic homes, the grid plan lay out of the streets, and proximity to Charlotte’s Uptown. The neighborhood is home to Chantilly Park, a 7-acre public park that is maintained by Mecklenburg County, located on the southern end of Wyanoke Avenue. Places of interest in Chantilly include the popular restaurants: Bean Vegan Cuisine, Pasta Provisions, Cajun Queen Restaurant, and Fenwick’s Restaurant.
