Ray’s Splash Planet
Ray’s Splash Planet originally opened on October 15th, 2002. Built into the Irwin Academic Center Uptown, Ray’s Splash Planet is an indoor water park built specifically for kids. Inside there is a whirlpool, a winding slide, deep end complete with a basketball hoop for older kids, and a shallow end with a jungle gym for younger children. Ray’s also offers private rooms for parties, a playground, fitness programs, a basketball gym, and an outdoor area for picnics.

Whitewater Rafting Center
The Whitewater Rafting Center is where you will find the world’s largest man-made recirculating river. The Whitewater Center offers kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, zip lines, and ropes courses for all ages and skill levels. The Whitewater Center also features restaurants, occasional festivals, live music, and other activities.

ImaginOn
ImaginOn opened in 2005, even though the planning for the Library started in 1997 by colleagues, Bob Cannon of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library & Bruce LaRowe of the Children’s Theatre. ImaginOn is a two story library that includes separate floors for children and teens, two state-of-the-art theatre spaces, a multimedia production studio, and an interactive exhibit space.
