The Eastland neighborhood was constructed in the 1960’s and 70’s and is one of the largest latino populated areas in the Carolinas. Important roads that run through Eastland are Sharon Amity and Eastway Dr. The Eastland area is on its way to making improvements through a guide called The Eastland Plan. The plan suggests supporting neighbors, transportation systems, run down buildings, and overall, making Eastland a more pleasant place to live.
