Beth Pickering, At-Large Council Member
Pickering, a Democrat, was elected in 2011 and is currently serving her first term on Council. She serves as Vice Chair of the Community Safety committee and is a member of the Environment and Government Affairs committees. Pickering chairs her voting precinct, has volunteered with Organizing for America since 2008, and is also a volunteer with the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party. Pickering attended the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana, and majored in English Literature. Pickering manages audit response for the Health Information Management Department of Novant/Presbyterian Hospital for the Greater Charlotte Market region, and is a member of the American and North Carolina Health Information Management associations.
