Police arrested five teenagers Sunday suspected of being involved in several armed robberies and a home invasion.

The suspects were identified as Jamie Taylor, 18; Sharica Gurley, 18; Trent Johnson, 19; Rashaun Henderson, 19; and Jocqui Johnson, 18.

Police arrested the teens after a reported home invasion in the 3500 block of Burner Drive in east Charlotte.

The victims told police they were robbed of cash and cell phones by three black females and two black male, who escaped in a gray vehicle. The incident was reported at 12:40 p.m.

A short time later in the 4800 block of Central Avenue, police saw a vehicle that matched the description given to them by the victims. The five teens were then taken into custody.

Police said evidence found during the investigation linked the teens to the earlier home robbery.

After the teens were questioned at police headquarters, detectives charged them in additional robberies.

Taylor is charged with six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon (RWDW), two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, and one count of felony breaking-and-entering.

Gurley was charged with six counts of RWDW, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, and one count of felony breaking-and-entering.

Trent Johnson was charged with three counts of RWDW, one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, and one count of felony breaking-and-entering.

Henderson with six counts of RWDW, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, and one count of felony breaking-and-entering.

Jocqui Johnson with three counts of RWDW, one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, and one count of felony breaking-and-entering.
