Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a group of men suspected to be involved in two armed robbery incidents in east Charlotte.

Police accused Marlon Alfredo Maldonado, 21, Juan Ramon Bergamasco, 18, Daniel Dejesus Navarro, 20, and Oscar Omar Trejos, 21, of robbing two victims in the early hours of Monday morning.

A police report states that a victim told responding officers he was outside when he was jumped from behind by suspects who stole his property and fled the scene in their own vehicle. The victim described three suspects and the car they fled in to police.

A short time later police received another call regarding a robbery. This victim said he was approached by three suspects while walking home and demanded he give them his wallet. The victim complied and the suspects left the scene. The victim’s description of the suspects was broadcasted to other officers.

An Independence division officer spotted the suspected vehicle and performed a traffic stop. Based on the information provided by both victims, the occupants in the car were positively identified as suspects.

The suspects were interviewed by Robbery Detectives and placed in Mecklenburg County Jail. All four suspects were charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
