Fred Berry Jr. of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on January 3, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was 79 years old.
Mr Berry is survived by his companion and caretaker, Mattie Hyman, of Charlotte; one son, Maurice Black of Charlotte; three daughters, Sabreina Gilliam, Teresa Mackey (Nathaniel) and Charlene Simmons, all of Charlotte.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, January 7, at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Park Cemetery.
Alexander is serving the Berry Family.
