The MeckEd Annual Community Breakfast will bring together members of our community in support of public education in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. This year, you will enjoy a keynote address from Dr. Steve Perry. Dr. Perry is the founder and principal of a college-preparatory magnet school in Hartford, Connecticut that has sent 100% of its graduates to 4-year colleges and universities. Dr. Perry is also a CNN education commentator, author and columnist for Essence Magazine.

This event will include addresses from Dr. Steve Perry and CMS Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison, a presentation to MeckEd Education Champion of the Year honoree Pat Riley, and a panel discussion about public education in our community.
