Harold Emmett Head, (MSG) US Army retired, “EM,” went home to his eternal rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was 47 years old.
Mr. Head is survived by his beloved wife, Carmela; daughter, Shomari; son, Emmett; and mother, Dorothy Harris of Wichita, Kan. His father, Harold Head, preceded him in death. Mr. Head also is survived by an aunt, Martha Gardner (Johnnie), of Austin, Texas; and a host of family and friends who he loved and cherished.
Family hour is scheduled for Tuesday Sept. 4, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home (1424 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, N.C.). A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Birth-Charlotte (17001 New Birth Drive Huntersville, N.C.). Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C.
