Robert E. Shaw of Charlotte lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. He 
was 48 years old.
Mr. Shaw is a graduate of West Charlotte High School and was self-employed with his own catering business.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; mother, Thomasena Shaw; daughters, Chemise and Courtney; son, Robert, and sister, Maxine. He also had a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 12 p.m. -1 p.m.
Alexander is serving the Shaw family.
