In order to train as many people as possible in hands-only CPR and to debunk myths that often keep bystanders from responding in critical situations, the American Heart Association has teamed up with Duke Energy, Cabarrus County EMS and Medic of Mecklenburg County to hold a public demonstration.
At a pre-rally for the Charlotte Heart Walk, the American Heart Association will work with Medic of Mecklenburg County on Tuesday, August 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wells Fargo atrium to demonstrate hands-only CPR to uptown workers, Heart Walk team members and lunch-goers.
This event is free, and staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance to those who want to learn this life-saving skill.
