Mary Lou Moore of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 76 years old.
She was born September 14, 1935, in Lancaster, SC, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Moore. She worked for Radiator Specialty for 18 years and retired from Kroger Bakery Department, and Bi-Lo Bakery Department. She was a faithful member of Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church and was very active with different committees.
She is survived by her four children, Eugene Moore, Deborah Truesdale, Darryl Moore, and Veronica Williams, all of Charlotte; five brothers, Fred Moore, Bishop Rayford Moore, Ozzie Moore, of Charlotte, Johnny Moore of Rock Hill and Eddie Moore of Atlanta; six sisters, Grace Hammonds of Charlotte, Mary Louise Miller, Penny Perry, Janice Moore, Barbara Ann Hudson and Sandra Doster of Rock Hill. She was also blessed to have nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
A funeral service for Mary Lou Moore will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. George Cook Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in York Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church.
