Free family activities in celebration of Kuumba, the sixth principle of Kwanzaa. Visitors will learn about the origin of the celebration as well as the seven principles of Kwanzaa by participating in a drum call, candle lighting and libation ceremony; watch the film “The Black Candle” narrated by Maya Angelou, see an African dance performance and create Kwanzaa-themed arts and crafts.
