Antoinette Baker

The group Mothers of Murdered Offspring will hold a candlelight vigil in memory of Antoinette Baker on Friday, Dec. 9, near the bar where she died.

Baker, a 30-year-old mother of six, was stabbed to death early Sunday during a bar fight outside Hartigan’s Irish Pub near Bank of America Stadium. Police arrested 31-year-old Katie Nicole Robinson at the scene and charged her with murder. Investigators said the fight began among several women inside a bathroom and spilled outside.

The vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. near the 600 block of Morris Street.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10, at Iglesia Pentecostal Church (The Old University Park Baptist, 2348 Keller Avenue) at 1 p.m. Visitation begins at noon.

The Rev. John B. Hicks, founder and CEO of The Namaste Network and associate pastor of First Fellowship Ministries, will officiate.

The family is accepting donations to defray funeral costs.

The Namaste Network assists families in the Charlotte community that suffer loss due to homicide, domestic violence and trauma.
