Saturday, October 1, the Zetas of Charlotte Benevolent Foundation and the Women’s Ministry of The Park Church will host the 3rd Annual Health Fair at The Park Church. This year’s theme is, “The Total You: Mind, Body & Soul.”

“As members of women’s organizations, we feel that we have an obligation to educate and empower women about their health” said Judene Wright, Health Fair Project Chair.

“The occurrences of diabetes, cancer, obesity, and heart disease within our female communities are alarming—and we want to do our part to improve those statistics,” she said.

In addition, to complimentary health screenings, the Health Fair will offer flu shots, mini massages and fitness demonstrations. The event is free and open to the entire Charlotte community.

“The Park Church welcomed the opportunity to partner with an organization looking to enhance, empower and expand awareness around the area of health of women,” said Kimberly Nash Alexander, First Lady of The Park Church and lead of the Women’s Ministry. “As 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 shares, our bodies are God’s Holy Temple and we must be good stewards over our human vessel.”

The Park Church Women’s Ministry, known as “Daughters of Divine Destiny” is a ministry created to serving and glorifying God by meeting the spiritual, emotional and social needs of all women.

The Zetas of Charlotte Benevolent Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established to foster the ideals of service, scholarship, and unity among mankind.
