Join the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. as they host their Fifth Annual Bar Hop for Breast Cancer Awareness on October 20. The bar hop will begin at Phillips Place, starting at The Palm and moving to Dean & Deluca Wine Room before finishing up at Upstream.
The fraternity sponsors this event, which is a fundraiser for the Charlotte affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to increase awareness regarding the statistical discrepancies regarding breast cancer and its effect in the African American community.
Women of color with breast cancer are more likely to be diagnosed a later stages than their counterparts of other ethnicities. Thus, their prognosis is often worse.
