Darron Orlando Davis II was born into the loving home of his parents, Darron Davis and Debra Jones Davis on September 5, 1987. He passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011.

He was 23 years old.

Darron graduated from Phillip O. Berry High School in 2006. At the time of his demise, he was an employee in the Utilities Department for the City Of Charlotte.

Darron joined New Waves of Joy Baptist Church at an early age. He was currently attending Parkwood Institutional C.M.E. Church.

Darron was known to many of his friends as “Baby Boy”. He was warm, generous and winsome. Darron made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Darron leaves to mourn two sisters, Desiree Jones of Bronx, New York and Torri Davis of Norfolk, Virginia; grandfather, Richard Hunter and great-grandmother, Mamie Jackson, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; uncles, Rev. David Jones and Shelton Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kevin Davis and Michael Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ruben Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada; aunts, Wendy Yates of Charlotte, North Carolina and Gwendolyn Rowell of Kuwait; one niece, and a host of cousins, many friends and loved ones across the country.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Long & Son Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Parkwood Institutional CME Church, 802 Tom Hunter, Rd. Charlotte.

Interment will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
