God’s Glory was formed in 2008 and is under the direction of Anthony Wilder. The group will release its first CD at an Aug. 13 concert.
God’s Glory, a new gospel group in Charlotte, will release its first album, “Praise Him,” at a CD release concert August 13.
The group, under the direction of Anthony Wilder, formed in 2008 and began working on this album in Feb 2009. It includes traditional worship ballads, praise-style songs and songs that Wilder said could be considered Christian rock.
All the music, he said, can be sung at traditional churches.
Wilder said the album’s delay has been a work of God that allowed the group to become closer, stronger and more knowledgeable.
At the concert, the group will perform four songs from the album as well as four songs by other artists. The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte and new artist, Jaylen Robinson, will join them in concert.
Wilder said attendees should “be prepared for the Spirit of God to move.”
The concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (232 Skyland Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28205).
Admission is free; the CD will sell for $10 and may be purchased at the concert or on the group’s website at www.godsglory-ministry.com.
