This upcoming Tuesday, October 12, 2010, 6:30-7:30pm, at the Uptown location for
No Grease Barbershop will hold a meet-and-greet for political candidates on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
The event will take place at the companyās uptown location at Time Warner Cable Arena (333 East Trade Street, Suite D).
With African American voter participation expecting to be low, Damian Johnson, CEO of No Grease, said he wanted to do something to connect candidates with voters ā especially African-American voters.
Johnson said he also wants to highlight the importance of the bond referendum, an issue he called important to African Americans.
The No Grease shops have been registering voters since 1998.
The meet-and-greet is free and open to the public.
