The Art Institute of Charlotte (AIC) will host a film festival Sept. 22 at the Knight Theatre in uptown.
The Manifesto Film Festival will showcase the talents of AIC students as well at the talents of local filmmakers – amateur and professional.
Each year the festival is given a subtitle and theme. This year’s subtitle — Revolution 9.22 — arrives with a theme built around notions of revolution and the potential for change in pre-existing structures through the medium of film and video.
At the end of the screenings, an awards ceremony will take place to honor films that challenge and explore various aspects of cinema. Winners will be selected based on their dedication to the craft and artistic accomplishments.
Admission is $5.
