Living Waters Inc and Charlotte CARES Mentoring Movement will host an arts gala on Friday, Sept. 10, to benefit at-risk youths.
The Arts for Mentoring Gala is scheduled for 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the Halton Theater on the campus of Central Piedmont Community College.
This event will consist of a three-hour concert and silent auction. Live performances will include:
- B.B. Dance Productions
- Master Concert Violinist, Daniel D.
- Lyric Soprano, Teresa Moore-Mitchell
- Dramatic Soprano, Angela Renée Simpson
- Que’nection Featuring Buff Dillard & Danyell Cherese
Kim Jacobs from the NBC Charlotte show “Today’s Daily Balance” will host the event. Also scheduled to attend is Susan L. Taylor, editor-in-chief emeritus of ESSENCE Magazine.

All proceeds will be used to provide mentoring programs for at-risk youth, as well as recruitment, training and support to mentors and mentoring organizations in the Charlotte area.
