Meet author and professor Ella LJ Edmonson Bell, Ph.D.

In her latest book, “CAREER GPS: Strategies for Women Navigating the New Corporate Landscape,” she offers advice to women looking to advance up the corporate ladder and/or optimize their performance in any work environment, no matter the economic outlook.

Bell bases CAREER GPS on her work as a professor, consultant to Fortune 100 companies and as leader and founder of ASCENT—Leading Multicultural Women to the Top, a national, not-for-profit organization committed to the professional development and corporate career advancement of multicultural women. Their scope is genuinely multicultural, encompassing white women and immigrants from other world cultures as well as African-Americans, Latinas, Asian-Americans, Native Americans and Muslim women.

Bell will discuss career strategies, job searching and sign copies of her book at Borders bookstore at the Morrocroft Shoping Center.
