Thornton Howard III, a CMS math teacher, will hold a free workshop for parents, mentors and others who work with local youth.
The workshop will focus on using positive four-letter words – such as able, best, care, lead, time, plan, goal and team — to help children build language skills and positive identity.
Howard, who will teach at Ridge Road Middle School this fall, said he believes in the power of four-letter words to affect positive change.
