See the movie premiere of “The Fat Boy Chronicles,” based on a newly released book of the same name.
The premiere is the first step in launching, “Charlotte, Get Your Move On!” – a community initiative modeled after the nationwide campaign led by first lady Michelle Obama to tackle childhood obesity.
“Fat Boy Chronicles” follows 14-year-old Jimmy as he enters ninth grade and chronicles his struggle with bullying and obesity. More than 8,000 Charlotte-Mecklenburg School (CMS) students are reading the book.
The movie runs one hour and ten minutes.
