Celebrate Black Marriage Day with a couples event sponsored by ForeSight Leadership Training and Urban Restoration.
Started in 30 cities in 2003, marriage activists in hundreds of cities now celebrate Black Marriage Day to highlight the benefits of marriage, pay tribute to successful marriages, and to promote marriage in the black community.
In Charlotte, a celebration will be held Saturday, March 27 at Urban Restoration (2128 Remount Road). Guest speaker will be Colin Pinkney, executive director of Urban Restoration.
Cost: $40 per couple.
Attire: Business casual.
This celebration will include music, food, fun activities, a speaker, and an opportunity to share ideas of future initiatives designed for married couples and families.
