The N.C. chapter/conference of Minority Transportation Officials will host a reception to welcome Carolyn Flowers, chief executive officer of Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), on Wednesday, January 13.

The event will include a reception followed by dinner and a panel discussion.

In addition to Flowers, panelists for the event include: Julie Cunningham, CEO of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials; Mecklenburg County Commissioners Chairwoman Jennifer Roberts, chair; and Jim Westmoreland, deputy secretary for transit, N.C. Department of Transportation.

NC/COMTO was founded in 2004 as a statewide chapter of the national organization, Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (www.comto.org). Membership includes transit officials across various modes in both public and private sectors.
