Parent-Teen Open Dialogue

The Parents University and the Urban League will show a documentory revealing the lives of four real tenagers living in Charlotte. The documentory will follow the teens and their difficult lives and will allow parents and their teenagers to discuss the film.

The Urban League and the Parent University of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools present Young Lives on the Edge, a documentary revealing the lives of four youth living in Charlotte.

The documentary follows four real teenagers who are living with difficult circumstances such as substance abuse, physical abuse, violence and family dysfunction. Afterward, parents and their teenagers will have the opportunity to discuss their thoughts on the film as well have an open dialogue about their own lives. They will explore problems and find solutions together.
