The Children’s Theater of Charlotte presents Step Afrika!, the world’s first professional step dance group. An event for the entire family, Step Afrika! mixes a unique blend of African American fraternity stepping and traditional African dance.
The dancers use their entire bodies in the dance movements. They pound the floor with their complex kicks, stomps, and rhythms while also using spoken word to express themselves.
