The “Get Motivated” business seminar featuring Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani and former first lady Laura Bush is expected to draw nearly 15,000 people to uptown Charlotte this morning, and Qcity officials are warning of potential traffic congestion.
To reduce traffic delays, officials suggest the following for:
Leave early for work or for “Get Motivated” event – doors for the event open at 6:45 a.m.
- Carpool and use H.O.V lanes (for vehicles with two or more occupants)
- Utilize public transportation, visit www.charmeck.org/Departments/CATS/ or call (704) 336-RIDE for both bus and light rail service options.
- Ticket holders are encouraged to use one of the two FREE parking lots and take a FREE shuttle bus to Time Warner Cable Arena from 6 am to 6 pm on October 29. The two lot locations are:
- Metrolina Tradeshow Exp
- Bojangles Coliseum
