In the race for campaign cash, Democrat Anthony Foxx has squeaked past Republican John Lassiter in their bid to become the Qcity’s next mayor.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Foxx in recent weeks has outraised Lassiter and now has a bigger war chest.
With help from the Democratic Party and out-of-state donors, the newspaper said, Foxx raised nearly $250,000 between Sept 1 and Oct. 19.
Lassiter raised $137,000 during the same reporting period.
