Ty Hobson-Powell may look like a typical student at Howard University, but at age 14 there’s not much typical about him.
The D.C. teen, already a sophomore, is Howard’s youngest student, having completed his high school requirements in just two years, says TheGrio.com.
A political science major, he rose to sophomore standing by taking community college classes and online courses. His parents said they knew he as gifted a young age. He started to talk before he had teeth, his father and, and began to learn Chinese at age 3.
