Eddie passed away Friday, August 21, 2009. He was born in Waxhaw to Wynita Tillman Yeldell and to the late L. Clay Hood.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 29, at New Covenant Bible Way, Charlotte, with the Rev. Clarence Crockett officiating.
Eddie is survived by his wife Elsiecnor Ford Hood; three sons, Eric Hood (Dee), Derrick Hood (Dana) and Broderick Hood (Mona); one daughter, LaMarick Hood Graves; one son who preceded him in death, Ronald Jones; four brothers, Henry Clay “Peter” Hood (Dorothy), Theodore Alfred Hood, Wayne Yeldell of Connecticut and Michael Yeldell of Connecticut; three sisters, Niece Goodman (Frank), Georgia Hutchins and Marnita Spellman, of all Connecticut; twelve grandchildren and one great grandson, Jadon. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
