Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting that left one man dead. Police on Friday identified the victim as 34-year-old Kevin Bell.
According to police, witnesses said that two black men and two black women forced their way into an apartment in the 4000 block of Twisted Oaks Road and shot Bell. Two other people were in the apartment; one was struck on top of the head and the other was not injured. It is unclear how the suspects left the scene.
Bell was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.
Based on witness statements, police gave the following description of four suspects:
Suspect 1: Brown skin black man, 21 or 22 years old, 5’10″, 140-150 pounds, long dreads, goatee, gold teeth on top, black T-shirt
Suspect 2: Dark skin black man, 19 or 20 years old, low hair cut, 5’7″ or 5’8″, 140 pounds, light colored T-shirt
Suspect 3: Light skin black woman, 19 or 20 years old, 5’6″ or 5’7″, 120 pounds, light brown hair back into a ponytail
Suspect 4: Dark skin black woman, 19 or 20 years old, slim build
