A former financial advisor to Michael Jackson, Dr. Tohme Tohme said he turned in $5.5 million in cash to special administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate.
Tohme is a financier who advised Jackson during the last year and half of his life. He helped save Neverland from foreclosure and was a key figure in negotiating the contracts for Jackson to do a series of comeback concerts in London.
He also said he turned over a large number of personal items from Jackson’s Neverland estate that were once scheduled to be auctioned.
Tohme, said, “I had the money and gave it to them. It was a secret between Michael and me.” He also claims Jackson was going to use the money for a Las Vegas dream home.
The estate’s receipt of the money was revealed in court documents released Friday.
