Take a break from the movie theatre and enjoy “Movies on the Green” at 435 South Tryon Street for free this summer.
On the last Thursday of every month, starting July 30 until October, “Movies on the Green” will show family-friendly movies like “Independence Day.” This month’s movie feature is “Mama Mia.”
Seating starts at 6:30 p.m. and the movies begin around 8:45 p.m.
To help save money for dinner, Uptown restaurants like La Vecchia’s, Therapy and Nix offer 10% off your meal the night of the movie. Popcorn and other concession will be available on the lawn.
Parking after 5 p.m. is $3 at Two Wachovia, Three Wachovia and The Green parking garages. The LYNX light rail is also available.
The complete list of movies will be available next week at www.FindYourCenter.com.
