Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe wants her children.
“I am stepping up,” she told a reporter for Los Angeles station NBC 4 in a 90-minute phone conversation. “I have to.”
Rowe, the mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, married Jackson in 1996 and filed for a divorce three years later. Rowe said she’d be was willing to take a DNA test to prove maternity and psychological testing.
Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, 79 has temporary custody of the children until a court hearing on July 13.
Rowe also said she’d be willing to take custody of Prince Michael II (Blanket) to keep the three children together, and she may seek a restraining order to keep her former father-in-law, Joe Jackson, away from her children.
