Michael Jackson’s mother asked a California judge on Monday to name her administrator of her late son’s estate.
Katherine Jackson said she wants to ensure the King of Pop’s three children are properly cared for. The court filing also states that Jackson’s parents believe he died without a valid will.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff earlier granted Katherine Jackson temporary guardianship of her son’s children but did not immediately rule on her request to administer Jackson’s estate. He scheduled hearings for July 6 and Aug. 3.
Reports differ as to whether Michael Jackson left a will spelling out his wishes for his estate and his children.
