McGeary Allison was born on July 2, 1937 in Charlotte. He was the son of Charles F. Allison (deceased) and Josephine Ford Allison.
Allison was educated in the Charlotte City School System, graduating from West Charlotte High School with the class of 1956.
Upon high school graduation, McGeary served four years in the United States Air Force being honorably discharged in 1960.
Furthering his education, McGeary studied and graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC. He remained in the Washington area for approximately 45 years.
McGeary departed this world on Tues, May 19 at the VA Hospital in Salisbury, N.C.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Allison; one brother, Joe F. Allison (Minnie); two nieces, Ynique Williams and Tenitra Oates (Carlos) and a host of other family and friends.
