By now, I’m sure you’ve heard about Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money tour featuring Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em and hip-hop’s newest “It” boy, Drake.
But tour dates were confirmed today.
Weezy and Co. have scheduled stops in Raleigh Aug. 8 (at Walnut Creek Amphitheater) and Atlanta Aug. 9 (at Lakewood Amphitheater). No Charlotte date was announced.
Headliner Lil’ Wayne’s upcoming rock album, “Rebirth” is set for a July 21 release. Soulja Boy and Jeezy are each working on new albums but neither has a release date as of yet.
And Wayne protege Drake, who isn’t even signed (but is at the center of a label bidding war), is working on his studio debut, “Thank Me Later.” Drake has been lauded for his 2009 mixtape, “So Far Gone,” which includes the track “Best I Ever Had.” (Or the more explicit version here.)
Tickets for the 21-city tour go on sale Saturday (June 20).
