Qcity transit chief Keith Parker will see a substantial pay increase when he jumps ship to run the transit agency in San Antonio, Texas.
His salary will go from $197,000 here to $250,000 there, the Charlotte Observer is reporting. In addition, Parker’s five-year contract calls for increases of at least $10,000 a year, topping out at $300,000.
Parker starts his new gig July 1. He became head of the Charlotte Area Transit System in December 2007.
The Observer also is reporting today that John Muth, CATS’ deputy director for development and chief development officer, will be named interim head of the Charlotte transit agency.
