The Obama’s are taking a trip this summer, just like many American families. Except this couple isn’t going to the nearest beach or national park. Instead, they will zip through Russia, Italy and and Ghana. They will not, however, visit Nigeria.
Itse Sagay, an attorney and senior advocate of Nigeria, told NEXT, “”There is no way that Obama will stain his own records by coming to Nigeria.”
Ouch. Harsh.
Unfortunately, Sagay’s not the only person who feels that way — and it’s not the only sub-Saharan country he’s pointing at, either, saying there are “a league of under-performing leaders in the region.”
Meanwhile, foreign experts suggest the presidential visit to Ghana is a show of approval for that country’s political and economic progress.
