We thought the King of Pop was ready to start his once-in-a-lifetime London tour, but apparently not.

According to the BBC, Michael Jackson says he needs more time to stage and rehearse the massive production, originally scheduled for July 8. That date has now been pushed back five days. Other July dates have been rescheduled for March 2010.

“As much as we agonized over this change in the original schedule, we are sure the fans will understand when they experience the level of entertainment Michael Jackson intends to deliver,” concert promoter AEG Live said in a written apology published on BBC News.

Of course, the 75,000 fans who had already bought tickets aren’t too wired about the change. Some have had to reschedule flights.
