Being peacefully led by the Hand, Mr. Wilbert Cousar succumbed at 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. His father and mother, Mr. Lee B. Cousar Sr. and Ms. Mary Cunningham, preceded him in death.
Mr. Cousar was born in 1934 in Catawba, S.C. He was educated in the Catawba County school system. He retired from the Rowe Corporation after being a dedicated employee for 27 years.
Mr. Cousar married Letha Adele McCloud of Fort Mill, S.C., and enjoyed 27 years of a wonderful marriage until her untimely demise.
Left to cherish are his daughters, Mrs. Aletha Cousar Bright (Tony) of the home, Ms. Elaine Hoots, Ms. Christina Cousar, Ms. Yolanda Rivers and Ms. Rosa Davis of Rock Hill; his sons, Mr. Lawrence Cousar, Mr. Bobby White of Charlotte, Mr. John Julius White Sr. (Geneva) of Washington, D.C., Mr. Carlton White of Hickory, N.C. and Mr. Wilbert Fitzgerald (Karen) of Rock Hill. He leaves behind 22 grandkids, 25 great-grandkids and 5 great-great grandkids.
Dear friends of the family who held a special place in his heart are Ms. Ferolene Wilson of Charlotte, Ms. Janet Kirkpatrick of Charlotte and Mr. Clarence Hinson. He was preceded in death by Ms. Linda McGrant of Charlotte and Joseph Bernard.
He leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.
