Mary Wilson, daughter of the late Robert and Willie Mae Wilson, was born on Nov. 3, 1957, in Charlotte. God called her home on April 4, 2009, after a brief illness.
Mary was educated in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She graduated from Independence High School, class of 1976. She was employed with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools at J.V. Washam Elementary School for many years. Mary was a good and faithful worker, always willing to do above and beyond her duties. Mary was a member of East Stonewall A.M.E. Zion Church for many years.
She leaves to cherish fond memories one sister, Ernestine W. Prather of Charlotte; four brothers, Alonzo Wilson, Clement Wilson(Bernadine), Douglas Wilson and Wayne Wilson, all of Charlotte; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One very special friend, Ms. Mary Snead.
The family of Mary greatly appreciates all of your prayers, words of comfort and concern. Most of all, thank you for your love. May God continue to bless each of you.
