Eastfield Presbyterian Church and C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church will host a Congolese Dinner to support The Christian Medical Institute of the Kasai/Good Shepherd Hospital at 6 p.m. today, March 19.
The dinner will be held at Eastfield Presbyterian, 11800 Eastfield Road, Charlotte.
Special guests will include medical director Leon Mubikayi and hospital administrator Bernard Kabibucq.
The institute is a medical complex in central Congo that is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church of Congo, the Mennonite Church of Congo and the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Guests will hear an update on mission projects. Activities for children also will be provided.
Costs: $7 for adults, $3 for children or $18 for families. The dinner will feature a traditional African meal that will include peanuts. Reservations required: 704-948-7540.
