It’s Serena Down Under — again!

Serena Williams crushed Dinara Safina 6-0, 6-3 to win the Australian Open today, picking up her 10th Grand Slam title

Serena Williams deployed a dazzling display of power to rout Dinara Safina of Russia in the Australian Open tennis finals today.

The 27-year-old Williams won 6-0, 6-3 at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, earning $1.3 million along the way. She has won the Open every other year since 2003, and her career earnings now top $23 million.

"I definitely think it was definitely one of my most dominant performances, especially considering it was a final," she was quoted as saying after the match. "I was able to just lift the level of my game."

Williams now holds 10 Grand Slam titles, only the seventh woman to achieve double-digit Grand Slam wins. With Saturday’s victory she also reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the women’s ranking.
