Ruth Morrison James
Mrs. James was born in Charlotte, N.C., on April 25, 1924, to the late Odessa Williams. She departed this life while sweetly resting at her home, on Jan. 4, 2009.
Ruth attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She was an active member of the Queen City Chapter, Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. She was the wife of the late Julius P. James, who was a Veteran of World II. She was also a very active and dedicated member of Galilee Baptist Church in Charlotte for many years.
Throughout her life she gave unselfish love and generosity to all she met. Her humorous and outgoing personality will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her cousin, Dorothy Walker, other relatives and friends.
