One of two Charlotte homes owned by American Idol Fantasia Barrino is in foreclosure, a document obtained by Qcitymetro from the Mecklenburg County courthouse shows.

The $1.3 million home on Bevington Place in southeast Charlotte will be auctioned off at noon on Jan. 12 if late payments aren’t made, according to the document. The document did not specify how much Barrino owed in late payments.

The 6,232-square-foot home has five bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths, according to Mecklenburg tax records. She bought it in March 2007.

The house will be sold to the “highest bidder for cash/subject to any mortgages, liens or taxes that may be owned on property,” the document states.

A second Charlotte house owned by Barrino, on Seton House Lane, has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. She paid $740,000 for the home, which measures 4,572 square feet.

Barrino won American Idol in 2004 and has since been nominated several times for Grammy awards. She was born in High Point and attended East Mecklenburg High School. Her third album is scheduled for release early next year.
